IF’s March General Meeting is postponed
In the interests of public health within our community, Indivisible Ferndale is postponing its March General Meeting which was scheduled for Saturday, March 28. At the end of this month, IF will decide when it is appropriate to resume our group meetings.
The check has arrived
On an extremely positive note, I hand delivered a stack of personal checks and one large IF check totaling $7,244 to Marty Coelho, Executive Director of the CR Foundation this past Friday. In a followup email, Marty wrote: “John – can’t thank you and Indivisible Ferndale enough for putting on the fundraiser. The $7,244 in funds will be a huge help!”
Karen Burkhardt, who has been managing our external communications with the local media and doing an outstanding job, wrote a post event public relationships piece. View the PR article here.
Concerts support good works . . .
Beginning this year, Indivisible Ferndale is operating a full bar for concert-goers at the Old Steeple. Volunteer are buying supplies, setting up, cleaning up and bartending before each show and during intermission. In addition to drinks, cookies baked at the Mind’s Eye and Lost Coast Baking Company are available. Thus far, there have been five concerts that netted $2,548. Proceeds will be used for a number of community-based activities including scholarships for local students. Students studying music, voice, political science and nonprofit management are among those who may be eligible for awards of cash to support their studies.
The next Old Steeple concert will be on Friday, April 3 at 7:30 pm. The featured artist will be Laurence Juber, a Grammy winning guitarist. Go here to find out more and purchase tickets. And while you are there, don’t forget to frequent the bar. It’s for a very good cause!
Stay well everyone! Together, We are Indivisible!
