Thank you, Jim, for visiting with us!
This past Friday, August 9, Assemblymember Jim Wood, dropped by Mary Ann and Pete Bansen’s dairy for a visit with Indivisible Ferndale. Everyone with whom I’ve spoken enjoyed the event and the opportunity to hear from our elected representative in a beautiful setting. Attendees were impressed with Jim’s knowledge on issues that our community is facing and when he didn’t have the answer, directing his staff to follow up. Jim had a great time too, was very impressed with y’all and would like to have an annual visit schedule with Indivisible Ferndale. What can we say but come on down, Jim!
Read an excellent interview with Jim conducted by the Lost Coast Outpost here.
Special thanks to Pete and Mary Ann, for sharing, once again, their home with Indivisible Ferndale! Thank you to Kathleen and Tom for the salmon (also Barb and I) and to Pete and Mary Ann, once again, for the tri-tip steak! Thank you Indivisible Ferndale, for providing delicious side dishes and desserts!

FUSD School Board meeting tomorrow night
This is a reminder that the Ferndale Unified School District Board of Trustees is meeting tomorrow night.
- Date: Wednesday, August 14
- Time: 7 to pm
- Location: Ferndale High School Library
Come out and support our locally elected representatives and have your voice heard at this meeting. Personally, I’m looking forward to an update on the Bias and Racism training for FUSD faculty and staff. I would also like to know how this training will be reflected in the student’s curriculum. In addition, Indivisible Ferndale was mentioned in the recent WASC accreditation report as an organization which could provide support for the educational goals of Ferndale schools. Stay tuned to see how you can help support our schools!
