1500 Postcards for Christy Smith for Congress
This past Monday, we mailed 1500 postcards (850 from Arcata Power Lunch and 650 from Indivisible Ferndale) to Simi Valley Indivisible in support of Christy Smith’s bid for the CA25 congressional seat vacated by Katie Hill. We must have backed the right candidate because Indivisible National just endorsed Christy Smith! Read all about it here.
BTW, If you ever doubted the power of a voter postcard, see what Beto O’Rourke discovered when he was visiting a Texas voter.
Meet the Candidates for Supervisor District 1
Over 100 folks attended the “Meet the Candidates for Supervisor District 1” this past Saturday. Indivisible Ferndale sponsored this event for our community and provided lunch. Cliff Berkowitz and incumbent Supervisor Rex Bohn each spoke about their qualifications and plans for serving the people of Humboldt County, particularly those who live in District 1. The presentations were followed by a question and answer session.
THANK YOUs to Karen for organizing this event and to Barb, Vicki, Mary Ann and Kerry for providing the delicious lunch and Steve for the hot coffee and to Pat for coming in early to turn on the heat, setting/cleaning up and lastly, to Jackie for registering voters!

Indivisible Ferndale is “in the house” at the Old Steeple
Pete overheard a concert goer say “the pours seem to be a bit more liberal” now that Indivisible Ferndale is tending bar at the Old Steeple. IF members have become bar tenders at Old Steeple concerts. Net proceeds from the sale of drinks and cookies will provide music scholarships and funding to other local community programs.
THANK YOUs to Stephen for working with Paul Beattie to make this happen and to the first batch of bar tenders including Jim Aste, Jim Stretch and Robin Smith!
Thank you, Paul, for bringing live music to Ferndale performed by excellent artists from all over the country! Treat yourself to an upcoming concert and buy a couple of “liberal drinks!” View the concert schedule here.
