IF Fundraiser: Avenue of the Giants Marathon this weekend
The Avenue of the Giants Marathon will take place at the Dyerville Bar on the South Fork of the Eel River (take exit 663 from Highway 101). Indivisible Ferndale is providing registration and timing support on both Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5. In addition, IF will have an information table where we will provide snack food to the runners and their families. This event is a MAJOR fundraiser for IF. We hope to raise over $1600!
HELP NEEDED: If you can provide some cookies, brownies, scones, muffins or other snack food, please bring your items to Barb and John’s home at 1095 Cream Court this Friday, May 3.
Bias and Racism Workshop on Saturday, May 18
Indivisible Ferndale is hosting a Bias and Racism Workshop for our community. For more information, read our press release here.If you have not yet registered to attend this workshop, please call Jackie Cory at 786-4619 or send an email.
IF Fundraiser: Kinetic Grand Championship on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27
It all began back in 1969 when Ferndale artists Hobart Brown and Jack Mays challenged one another to a race down Main Street on their kids’ modified bicycles. Fifty years later, both Hobart and Jack have gone to that great Kinetic workshop in the sky, but the race lives on.
Indivisible Ferndale will be serving up Betty Diehl’s “famous” chili recipe in front of her home on Main Street for the crowds of spectators who will be watching the kinetic sculptures complete their three journey from Arcata.
If you interested in either making Betty’s chili recipe and/or serving it up hot at her home on Memorial Day, please send an email to Susan Diehl McCarthy here.
Together, We are Indivisible Ferndale!
