Indivisible Ferndale at the Eureka Women’s March
This rainbow in the back pasture behind our home was the good weather omen on Friday for sunny and dry weather on Saturday for the Eureka Women’s March 2018.
Some of us met at Firemen’s Park and others found their own way, but we all found one another yesterday! 20 members of Indivisible Ferndale participated. The total count was just short of 5,000 marchers, but what a crowd it was. There is nothing like joining a march to reinforce the fact that you are NOT alone.
Early this morning I received an email from our son, Mike who is traveling in Colombia, congratulating us on our photo on the Lost Coast Outpost! Word (and photos) travel fast and far! Read the LOCO story and see more march photos here.
And did I mention the signs? View the North Coast Journal’s cavalcade of signs here.
After the march, many of us headed over to the Old Steeple to hear the “Durst Case Scenario.” Will Durst did not disappoint and provided us with the best way to end a day: laughter with friends.
We hope to see y’all this Tuesday for potluck and getting ready to “Step It Up in 2018!”
