Postcards for TJ Cox
In case you missed it in our last post, Indivisible Ferndale is preparing to write postcards in support of Democratic incumbent Rep. TJ Cox in congressional district CA-21. If you are interested in writing postcards for TJ, then go here to learn more.
It ain’t over ’til it’s over
By now, you have probably heard that Democratic candidate Christy Smith conceded to the Republican candidate, Mike Garcia, in the CA-25 special election held this past Tuesday. Garcia will now serve out the remainder of Katie Hill’s term until November. Many of you wrote postcards to CA-25 voters over the last six months. That work was not in vain. Christy finished the primary election from a very crowded Democratic field of candidates in second place and was able to compete in this week’s special election.
She may have lost this special election, but she has another shot at this congressional seat in November. Stay tuned!
Our 2016 trip to the Big Apple
Every year since we all retired, Barb and I, my sister, Charlene and her husband, Gerry, go on a trip to some part of the U.S together. In 2016, we traveled to the East Coast and spent four days in New York City. As many of you know, I love to take photos with my iPhone wherever I go. When I get home, I edit many of the photos together into a video scrapbook with music.
As a tribute to the Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo and the amazing resilience of the citizens of New York City, I am sharing my short film of our NYC trip with you.
May we all come out of this COVID-19 storm on the other side and, once again, visit the incredible city and people of New York City.
Stay Safe and Strong. Together, We are Indivisible!
