Remember those postcards we wrote to NC-09 voters?
Our “crack team” of postcard writers once again took on the task of writing to voters. This time we went beyond our own home state and wrote directly to voters in the ninth congressional district of North Carolina. You may remember that the NC-09 2018 election was nullified due to voter fraud. A special election will be held next Tuesday, September 10 to elect a representative. The Democrat, Dan McCready, lost by only 950 votes last November and is running again in a very close race.
Read about the upcoming special election here.
Indivisible Ferndale first wrote 250 postcards to North Carolina voters at the end of April to encourage them to register for the May, 2019 primary. In July, we wrote an additional 750 postcards to encourage NC voters to cast their ballots in this September special election. We challenged our Cloverdale Indivisible friends to do the same. The “other dale” actually bested our efforts and wrote 1,000 postcards. In the end, we are all hoping that the good people from the state of North Carolina get to the polls and elect McCready as their next congressional representative!
Last, but certainly not least . . . the debates continue
This a reminder that the Democratic candidates who are hoping to become the presidential challenger in 2020 will once again be debating next week.
