Indivisible Ferndale started off the month of July with a “BANG!” About 20 IF members marched during yesterday’s Fourth of July Parade in downtown Ferndale! We had flags. We had signs. We had fun! And we drew cheers from the crowds along the parade route. Thank you to ALL who participated! Special “Thanks” to Stuart for getting us a place in the parade and to Clyde for capturing this photo with his selfie stick!
Note: Please send me any photos of Indivisible Ferndale’s participation in the parade that you or your friends captured. I will post them during the week.
The Party is Over, Now the Work Begins!
Our vigilance and action are needed throughout the month of July. We have Indivisible Ferndale committee meetings scheduled. We have public meetings to attend. We have our monthly Indivisible Ferndale Group meeting and potluck. Check out the calendar here and the “Actions” page here.
Staying Current with Local Government Affairs
The IF Representation Committee is following the actions and attending the monthly meetings of local government bodies. The committee has compiled a list of board members and their terms of office. You can view this list here.
Mr. President, “Go Jump in the Gulf of Mexico!”
Have you heard the one about the President of the United States that thought he could tell each state to hand over the personal information of all registered voters within that state to the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity? As of last count today, 44 states have responded with an emphatic “No!” My personal favorite, thanks to Karen B., was from the Mississippi Republican secretary of state, Delbert Hosemann, who said that the commission could “go jump in the Gulf of Mexico.”
